Now Claudine's
back in jail again
Claudine's back
in jail again
Claudine's back
in jail again
Claudine
Claudine's back
in jail again
Claudine's back
in jail again
She only does it
at weekends
Claudine
Now only Spider
knows for sure
But he ain't
talking about it any more
Is he, Claudine?
There was blood
in the chalet and blood in the snow
She washed her
hands of the whole damn show
Claudine
She shot him
once right through the head
She shot him
twice right through the chest
The
judge ruled it was an accident
Claudine
Accidents will
happen
Well Claudine's
back in jail again
Claudine's back
in jail again
Claudine's back
in jail again
Claudine
Claudine's back
in jail again
Claudine's back
in jail again
Claudine's back
in jail again
Claudine
Yeah
Poor Claudine
Poor Claudine
Claudine's back
in jail again
Claudine's back
in jail again
Claudine's back
in jail again
Claudine
Poor Claudine
Poor Claudine
Poor, poor, poor
Claudine
Now I threaten
my wife now with a gun
But I always
leave the safety on
I recommend it
Claudine
Yeah, pistol
whip me once or twice
Never ever try
to take my life
What do you
think about that?
Claudine
Claudine's back
in jail again
Claudine's back
in jail again
She only does it
at weekends
Claudine
Poor Claudine
Poor Claudine
Poor Claudine
Whoo-hoo
What about the
children, Claudine?
Poor, poor
children
You're the
prettiest girl I've ever seen
Only see you on
the movie screen
I hope you never
try to make a sacrifice of me
Claudine
Uh-uh
Hey, don't get,
don't get too trigger happy with me, Claudine
Itchy fingers
Yeah, Claudine's
back in jail again
Claudine's back
in jail again
Claudine's back
in jail again
Claudine
Yeah, Claudine's
back in jail again
Claudine's back
in jail again
Claudine
Whoo-hoo,
Claudine
Poor, poor,
poor, poor Claudine
TrackTalk
Claudine, that was
(already) done, more or less.
- Mick Jagger, 2011
Unlike
Exile, there was a lot
more left over. Claudine
should have been on the first one, but we had deadlines.
- Keith Richards, 2011
I’m not sure
if any of (the outtakes) were really that close (to being released
in 1978), because none of them were really finished. The one that
was closest was probably Claudine.
- Mick Jagger, 2011
Claudine,
I wished, and I think all of us did at the time, that that
should have been on the original album. but there was some
legal difficulties and stuff. But otherwise, she was a perfect
"Some Girl".
- Keith Richards, 2011
You know we've done several things that
unfortunately we can't use because they're too near the knuckle
as far as people are concerned I think, you know. I don't want
to put an album out that's got to be withdrawn because you get
sued by people. That's the unfortunate thing is: I don't mind
being sued (laughs) but I don't want the album to be withdrawn
when it goes out - I find that rather tough to take... It's not
an artistic compromise. The point is putting out a million
albums and having to withdraw them.
- Mick Jagger, June 1980,
asked about the song
being left off the Emotional
Rescue album
Claudine
would’ve been a number one track probably, you know?
- Keith Richards, 2011
