Who wants yesterday's papers?
Who wants yesterday's girl?
Who wants yesterday's papers?
Nobody in the world

Well after this time I've finally learned
After pain and hurt
After all this what have I achieved?
I've realized it's time to leave

Cause who wants yesterday's papers?
Who wants yesterday's girl?
Who wants yesterday's papers?
Nobody in the world

I'm living a life of constant change
Every day means a turn of the page
Yesterday's papers is such bad news
The same thing applies to me and you

Who wants yesterday's papers?

Who wants yesterday's girl?
Who wants yesterday's papers?
Nobody in the world

It seems very hard to have just one girl
When there's a million in the world
All of these people just can't wait
To fall right into their big mistake

Cause who wants yesterday's papers?
Who wants yesterday's girl?
Who wants yesterday's papers?
Nobody in the world

TrackTalk

This was going to be very straight but it's ended up donging about all over the place. All tinkling and weird. Charlie said he wanted to think up a weird drum rhythm for it and brought about two dozen different drums into the studio. This has been covered by someone else - the way I originally saw it.

- Mick Jagger, 1967

I think the first song I wrote melodically was Yesterday's Papers.

- Mick Jagger, 1985

(T)he first song I ever wrote completely on my own for a Rolling Stones record.

- Mick Jagger, 1995
